Linear Engineering is delighted to announce that, alongside our esteemed partners, Sugar Terminals Limited (STL) and Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC), we have been awarded the Bulk Handling Facility of the Year at the 2024 Australian Bulk Handling Awards. This prestigious recognition, proudly sponsored by Kinder Australia, celebrates outstanding facilities dedicated to the processing or manufacture of bulk solids materials.
A Landmark Achievement
The award was presented at the Australian Bulk Handling Expo in Melbourne last September, acknowledging the exceptional contribution of the Port of Bundaberg Common User Facility. This project has been a significant driver of regional trade, reducing costs for exporters by enhancing the utilization of assets at the Port of Bundaberg.
Key Highlights
- Project Leadership: STL’s Assets & Engineering Manager, Richard Hughes, accepted the award on behalf of the team, accompanied by our very own representatives from Linear Engineering, Director Geoff Hargreaves and Principal Engineer Lee Williams.
- Regional Impact: The Bundaberg expansion project has successfully facilitated increased shipments, positioning the facility as a vital conduit for exporting various bulk commodities from the Wide Bay – Burnett region.
- Flexibility and Innovation: The facility offers maximum flexibility to support both “one-off” shipments and long-term contracts, addressing diverse operational needs.
