The project required Linear Engineering to pivot from operating as design verifier to designer, ensuring the client’s needs were met within a tight timeframe.
Linear Engineering initially verified the replacement cage design to be compliant with Australian Standards via Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Once engaged as designers to support PGM in registering and installing the cage, Linear quickly appreciated PGM’s additional requirements and tailored additional FEA and documentation to suit.
Linear Engineering expedited additional FEA and documentation works to support installing the cage during the available shut window. Following the successful cage installation, Linear continued to assist PGM as required to complete the project.
